A breeding pair of mallards caught in flight, both with wings fully extended, against nothing but clear blue sky.

I found it interesting to notice today that you can see the Mission Mountains from Florence, Montana. The Mission Mountains are thirty miles to the north of Missoula, almost fifty miles from Florence, and possibly the most dramatic peaks in Western Montana (next to Glacier Park). And today, up there in grizzly bear country, the Missions soared making the mountains just beyond Missoula look small. I'm anxious to go up there and look around some more.
